Eunápolis receives investments for health centers and risk reduction planning

The municipality of Eunápolis, Bahia, is advancing several infrastructure and safety initiatives. The State Government of Bahia has authorized the construction of two new health facilities: a Specialized Rehabilitation Center (CER III) and a Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS III). The CER III project involves an investment of R$ 12.8 million, focusing on specialized outpatient rehabilitation and assistive technology. The CAPS III project, with an investment of R$ 7.1 million, will provide mental health services through a multidisciplinary team. Both units are expected to be completed within 12 months.

Simultaneously, the Eunápolis City Hall and Civil Defense are mobilizing residents to develop the Municipal Risk Reduction Plan (PMRR). Through community hearings scheduled for October 19–21, 2026, local populations in areas such as Encontro Pequi, Córrego do Gravatá, and Tangerina will be invited to identify and report territorial risks. This planning initiative is being conducted in partnership with the Brazilian Institute of Municipal Administration (IBAM), the Ministry of Cities, and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
