Eurajoki Solar Park inaugurated in Finland by Alight and Autoliv

Alight and Autoliv have inaugurated the 101 MWp Eurajoki Solar Park in Finland, marking it as one of the country’s largest solar facilities. Located in the Satakunta region, the park is built, owned, and operated by Alight.

The facility is expected to generate approximately 100 GWh of renewable electricity annually, which is sufficient to power roughly 20,000 households. The electricity will be supplied to Autoliv through a long-term virtual power purchase agreement (PPA), a move intended to support Autoliv’s goal of achieving carbon-neutral operations by 2030 and securing predictable energy costs.

The project was supported by €46 million in senior debt from ABN AMRO and SEB. Alight has announced plans to integrate a 30 MW/60 MWh battery storage system at the site by 2027. The solar park consists of two distinct sites connected by a shared substation, with environmental measures including habitat restoration and the creation of new ponds.
