Euregio-Awards announces record 105 submissions for research and innovation prizes

The Euregio-Awards have announced a record 105 submissions for its annual research and innovation prizes. Twelve finalists have been selected to compete for the Euregio Young Researcher Prize and the Euregio Innovation Prize.

The awards are jointly presented by the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce, the Bolzano and Trento Chambers of Commerce, and the Euregio Tirol-South Tyrol-Trentino. The final ceremony is scheduled for August 29, 2026, during the Euregio Days at the European Forum Alpbach.

Among the finalists are projects from Tyrol focusing on climate change adaptation platforms for municipalities, hybrid energy storage systems, new approaches to drug development, and methods for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Regional leaders emphasized that these innovations demonstrate how strong regional research contributes to broader European competitiveness.
