Euro falls to 1.1355 US dollars per ECB reference rate
The European Central Bank (ECB) announced a reference exchange rate for the euro of 1.1355 US dollars for September 30, marking a decrease from the previous day's rate of 1.1378 dollars.
This decline follows a period of volatility where the euro reached a yearly low against the US dollar. On September 29, the currency hit levels not seen in over a year, dropping to approximately 1.1316-1.1320 dollars. While the euro saw a slight recovery in interbank trading in Frankfurt, reaching 1.1351 dollars, it remains near its recent lows compared to the strength of the US dollar.
