Euro Marathon de Metz expects record 12,000 participants

The Euro Marathon de Metz is expecting a record turnout of approximately 12,000 participants for its upcoming edition, an increase from the 9,000 runners recorded in 2025.

A major driver for this growth is the introduction of a semi-marathon distance, which has attracted 4,000 runners. This new race will start at the Frescaty plateau in Augny. The event also includes 42 km and 10 km formats.

Organizers at RNK noted that the increased scale requires significant logistical adjustments, including expanded refreshment stations and increased volunteer support. Approximately 500 to 550 volunteers are expected to assist, with support from the Athlétisme Metz Métropole (A2M) club. The Centre des Congrès Robert-Schuman has been established as a central hub for the event's organization.
