Euro rises against Algerian dinar on parallel market
The euro has seen a slight increase against the Algerian dinar on the parallel currency market as of August 15, 2026. Following a period of relative stability, the European currency showed a modest rise in value.
On the black market, 100 euros are currently trading at 27,550 dinars for sale and 27,300 dinars for purchase. This follows the rates from the previous day, August 14, which were approximately 27,500 dinars for sale and 27,250 dinars for purchase.
Market observers suggest this uptick may be driven by a slight recovery in demand for the euro. However, experts remain cautious, noting that it is too early to determine if this represents a long-term trend or a temporary market adjustment. Over the past four weeks, the euro has remained largely stable within a narrow range due to a balance between supply and demand.
In contrast to the parallel market, the official exchange rate set by the Bank of Algeria remains significantly lower, with the euro trading at approximately 153.60 dinars for purchase and 153.70 dinars for sale.
