Eurobank to fund €2 million autism day center in Cyprus
Eurobank is funding the creation of a new Day Center in Cyprus dedicated to supporting individuals on the more severe end of the autism spectrum. The project has a total budget of €2 million, which will be fully covered by the bank.
The facility will be constructed in the Agios Dimitrios parish in Strovolos. Following its completion, the Ministry of Social Welfare will take over the operation and management of the center.
The architectural design for the project was selected through a competition that drew 37 entries from various architectural firms and study groups. The winning proposal was submitted by the team of Chrysostomos Theodoropoulou, Eleni Livani, and Panagiotas Karamanis. The project was presented at a special event attended by Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, Deputy Minister of Social Welfare Tina Pavlou, and Eurobank Group CEO Phokion Karavia.
