This surge benefited the hospitality sector significantly, with the Bellevue Park Hotel Riga selling out and the restaurant Lido serving between 10,000 and 15,000 more customers than the previous year. According to Fredis Bikovs, director of the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency, these figures reflect the broader economic footprint of major sporting events on city infrastructure, including flights, accommodation, and dining.
