EuroBLECH 2026 to showcase automation in sheet metal processing
The upcoming EuroBLECH 2026 trade fair in Hannover is set to highlight significant advancements in sheet metal processing, with a primary focus on automation, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and sustainability. Industry leaders such as Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, LVD, Salvagnini, Prima Power, and Mazak are expected to demonstrate integrated production processes that connect laser cutting, punching, bending, and material handling through intelligent software.
Mazak is scheduled to make a significant showing by demonstrating a complete workflow from laser cutting to bending. This includes the European debut of the Optiplex Ez-L, a 6 kW laser machine designed for daily production. The machine features a SmoothCut resonator and an updated cutting head to improve stability and gas consumption. When paired with the CSS 3015e automation system, the setup aims to increase machine utilization rates from approximately 50-60% to 80-85% by enabling unmanned operation.
Dutch technology specialists and suppliers are also participating, with SafanDarley presenting solutions that integrate automation and energy savings, and Q-Fin showcasing scalable handling and finishing processes. The industry trend indicates a shift from individual machine operations toward fully integrated, intelligent, and automated production environments to maintain competitiveness.
