Eurocidade Tui-Valença hosts cross-border sports events

The Eurocidade Tui-Valença region is hosting several cross-border sporting events aimed at strengthening ties between Portugal and Spain through athletic competition.

On October 25, the 4th edition of the Corrida 2 Léguas Eurocidade Tui-Valença will take place. Organized by the Associação Desportiva Verdoejense, the 10-kilometer race starts and ends in Valença, crossing the international bridge over the Minho River to Tui. The event features godmothers Julia Vaquero and Manuela Machado and includes specific races for children and youth.

Additionally, the 12th Eurocidade Roller Hockey Tournament is being held at the Municipal Pavilion in Valença from September 11 to 13. The tournament involves approximately 400 athletes from 14 Portuguese and Spanish clubs, covering various age categories from Sub-7 to senior and veteran levels. The event is organized by Valença HC in partnership with the municipalities of Valença and Tui.
