Euroins receives positive outlook upgrade from Fitch Ratings
Fitch Ratings has upgraded the outlook for Euroins AD, Bulgaria’s largest insurer by revenue, from ‘stable’ to ‘positive’ while maintaining its ‘BB-’ rating.
The upgrade reflects increasing capital stability, improved reserve formation practices, and the company’s leading position in the Bulgarian market. This follows a group-level restructuring in the second half of 2026, where ownership of Euroins was transferred from Eurohold Bulgaria AD to Starcom Holding AD.
Key financial highlights noted by Fitch include improved operational results and profitability, with a reported net profit of 9.61 million euros in 2025 compared to 2.86 million euros in 2024. Additionally, the company’s equity grew to 117.6 million euros by the end of 2025, with a Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR) coverage of 141% at that time and 129% in the first half of 2026.
