Euroleague Basketball renews referee agreement through 2029
Euroleague Basketball has officially renewed its collective agreement with the Union of Euroleague Basketball Officials (UEBO). The new deal extends through the end of the 2028-29 season, aiming to ensure stability and professionalize officiating within both the EuroLeague and EuroCup.
Signed by Euroleague CEO Chus Bueno and UEBO President Sreten Radovic, the agreement defines working conditions, mutual obligations, and the framework for referee development. A key component of the renewal is the continued integration of technological solutions to assist officials and modernize the decision-making process on the court.
This agreement follows a structure established in 2019 and renewed in 2023. It completes a network of collective agreements between Euroleague Basketball and its key stakeholders, which already includes the Euroleague Players Association (ELPA) and the Euroleague Coaches Board (EHCB).
