EuroLeague clubs show major budget disparities as Panathinaikos leads spending
New financial data from the EuroLeague Budget Tracker reveals significant disparities in spending among top European basketball clubs. Panathinaikos leads the league with an estimated total budget of 55–60 million euros, allocating approximately 34 million euros specifically to net player salaries. Hapoel Tel Aviv follows with a 29 million euro budget, while Olympiacos allocates around 22 million euros for players.
Other notable figures include Fenerbahçe at 17 million euros and Maccabi at 15.5 million euros. While some clubs like Partizan and Red Star Belgrade have not yet released complete data, the tracker highlights the distinction between total club budgets—which include taxes, travel, and facilities—and net player salaries.
In separate analysis, Hapoel Tel Aviv player Elijah Bryant shared his projections for the 2026/27 season. Bryant identified Hapoel, Panathinaikos, and Olympiacos as the primary favorites for the title. He also categorized Real Madrid as a top contender, while placing teams like Barcelona and Valencia in the middle of the standings.
