Euronews Culture highlights underrated musical masterpieces

The Euronews Culture team has curated a list of ten underrated albums that have been overlooked, panned, or forgotten by the mainstream.

Among the highlighted records is Jeri Southern’s 1956 album, ‘You Better Go Now’. Despite being admired by artists such as Frank Sinatra and Miles Davis, Southern’s career was impacted by performance anxiety, leading her to retreat from the stage while her contemporaries became household names.

Also featured is Labi Siffre’s 1972 third studio album, ‘Crying Laughing Loving Lying’, described as an uplifting and bittersweet work by the English singer-songwriter.
