Euronews digital audience nearly doubles in one year

Euronews has almost doubled its digital audience over the past year, reaching 44.8 million visits in September. This represents a 99% increase compared to the same month last year, according to data from the UK Press Gazette and Similarweb.

This growth occurs despite a broader decline in traffic for major global news websites. Within the top 50 English-language news sites, half saw traffic drop by more than 20% compared to September 2025, and 42 sites recorded a decrease from the previous month.

Other outlets reporting growth include the newsletter platform Substack, which rose 37% to 172.2 million visits, One India, which grew 44%, and Al Jazeera, which increased by 14%. Conversely, Newsweek saw a 62% decline, while Indian sites Hindustan Times and News 18 both lost more than half of their traffic.
