Euronext Athens posts record earnings and revenue growth in 2026
Euronext reported a 16.9% rise in second‑quarter 2026 revenues to €544.4 million, with adjusted EBITDA up 21.1% to €360 million and a profit margin of 66.1%. Net profit reached €245 million and earnings per share rose 19.8% to €2.42. The results were driven by expanded trading activity, higher fees from capital‑markets and data services, and strong performance in bond markets and technology infrastructure.
For the first half of 2026, Euronext Athens posted net profit of €27 million, double the €13.5 million earned a year earlier, on revenue of €50.8 million, a 56% increase. EBITDA climbed to €34.9 million, up 92.8% YoY. Trading volume surged, with the average daily value of trades rising to €342.6 million, a 73% jump, and derivatives contracts more than doubled. Foreign investor ownership of the market reached a historic 68.6% at the end of June. Market capitalisation grew to €182.5 billion, the highest level since 2007. CEO Stefan Bouzanas highlighted the rebound in new listings and capital‑raising activity, including the first international shipping company listed on the Athens platform.
