Euronext suspends CoinShares Zcash ETP on Paris debut
Euronext has suspended trading of the CoinShares Zcash exchange-traded product (ETP), ticker ZCSH, on its scheduled debut day on Euronext Paris. The suspension is effective until further notice.
A spokesperson for Euronext stated that the halt is strictly due to operational settlement requirements. The product will remain suspended until standard settlement operations can be fully supported by the Central Securities Depository (CSD). The exchange clarified that the measure is a technical issue regarding post-trade infrastructure rather than a regulatory decision concerning Zcash or CoinShares.
The ETP was designed to provide regulated European exposure to Zcash (ZEC) without requiring investors to manage private keys or digital wallets. It is 100% physically backed by ZEC held in institutional custody. While other Zcash-based ETPs have traded on Euronext previously, this specific listing faces settlement gaps between the exchange and the depository.
