Europa League and Conference League action highlights

The second matchday of the Europa League and the debut of the Conference League featured several notable moments. In Belgium, Union Saint-Gilloise and Real Sociedad played to a 1-1 draw. After Beñat Turrientes scored for the Spanish side in the second half, Sekou Keita equalized for the hosts in the 88th minute. A critical defensive play occurred in the closing moments when Massire Sylla made a goal-line clearance to prevent a Real Sociedad goal.

In the Conference League, Atalanta secured a 3-1 victory over Pafos. The match included an early goal by Eljif Elmas and a penalty from Giacomo Raspadori; however, Raspadori suffered a right leg injury immediately following his successful strike and required substitution.

As the Conference League begins, attention is also turning toward emerging talents. Notable young players highlighted for their potential include Luka Vuskovic of Brighton, Oscar Gloukh of Ajax, Yasin Ayari of Brighton, Stanley Iheanacho of Midtjylland, and Ruud Nijstad of Twente.
