Europa-Park maintains Silver Star operations after fatal US roller coaster accident

Following a fatal accident at Six Flags Over Georgia in the United States, concerns have been raised regarding similar roller coasters manufactured by the Swiss firm Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M). On October 12, a 42-year-old man died after being thrown from the Goliath roller coaster. In response, the operator has closed the ride and several other comparable attractions in North America.

In Germany, the Silver Star roller coaster at Europa-Park is also a B&M model. However, Europa-Park officials confirmed that the ride remains fully operational. The park stated that its safety protocols include daily technical inspections before opening, as well as annual TÜV certifications, to ensure the functionality of all restraint and locking systems.
