Europe dominates The 50 Best Bars extended 2026 rankings

The 50 Best Bars has released its extended list for 2026, covering rankings from 51 to 100. Europe emerged as the most represented region with 18 establishments included in the rankings.

Italy leads the European count with four bars, followed by Spain and the United Kingdom with three each. Sweden and Greece also feature with two bars each. Other represented countries include Norway, Turkey, France, and Ireland.

The list is determined by an 800-member academy consisting of bartenders, bar owners, beverage journalists, and global cocktail experts. Each voter nominates eight bars, with the requirement that they must have visited the venue within the last 18 months.

Notable newcomers to the extended list include Bar Gabriel in Istanbul (68th), Naked in Athens (76th), and Bar 1661 in Dublin (98th). The full top 50 ranking for 2026 is scheduled to be announced in Milan, Italy, on October 7.
