Europe faces digital dependency risk, author warns

Mattis argues that while the United States, China, and India dictate the pace of digital markets and AI leadership, Europe risks falling into digital dependency due to excessive bureaucracy. The book calls for a structural and mental shift toward a ‘Silicon Valley Europe Mindset’ to regain digital sovereignty and foster innovation. Mattis suggests that mere incremental corrections are insufficient and proposes concrete paths to reduce bureaucracy and increase the competitiveness of European digital solutions.
