Europe Now Movement criticizes DPS over political rhetoric and historical record

The Europe Now Movement (PES) has issued a sharp rebuttal to the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), accusing the former ruling party of lacking political culture and programs. PES characterized the DPS as a party that uses aggressive rhetoric to regain attention after losing power.

In its statement, PES criticized the DPS for its historical record, specifically citing the events of 1991 and 1992, including the attacks on Dubrovnik and the deportation of Bosniak refugees. PES further alleged that the DPS has failed to offer sincere apologies for these actions, accusing them of using the name of Srebrenica for political maneuvering rather than genuine defense of victims.

PES emphasized that under its leadership, the Montenegrin government supported the UN resolution on the Srebrenica genocide, a move they claim the DPS never made. The movement dismissed the recent initiative by the DPS as a calculated attempt to return to the political center rather than a principled stance on dignity or human rights.
