Ryanair and Air France‑KLM launch new low‑fare European ticket options
Ryanair is offering a €20 discount on selected round‑trip flights across Europe until 31 July, with fares as low as €14.99 for eligible routes. The promotion applies automatically or via a code on the airline’s website or app and excludes domestic, connecting and subsidised Spanish tickets.
Air France‑KLM announced that its Basic fare, which includes only a personal item (40 × 30 × 15 cm), is being extended to all short‑haul European routes. The new fare will be available from 30 June 2026, with medium‑haul routes added from 8 September. The airline notes that larger hand baggage can be purchased for an extra fee, while the Light fare continues to offer a larger allowance at a higher price.
Both initiatives reflect a broader trend among European carriers to simplify fare structures and cater to price‑sensitive travellers, while shifting baggage‑related revenue to optional add‑ons.
