European Aquatics Championships in Paris sees Spain aim for medals and Andorra field three swimmers
The European Aquatics Championships are being held in Paris from August 10‑16, 2024, covering artistic swimming, high diving, open‑water and pool events. Spain arrives with high ambitions across all disciplines, hoping to improve on its five medals in 2022. The Spanish artistic swimming squad, coached by Andrea Fuentes, will face Russia, which returns to international competition.
Andorra will be represented by three swimmers – Kevin Teixeira (200, 400 and 800 m freestyle), Patrick Pelegrina (50 and 100 m breaststroke) and Biel Cuen (200, 400, 800 m freestyle and 400 m medley). The Andorran federation sees the meet as a key step toward the short‑course World Championships in China and future Olympic goals, emphasizing personal bests and record‑breaking performances.
