European Athletics Championships Birmingham 2026 secured sponsor Joma and Spanish team lineup

Spanish sportswear brand Joma has signed a multi‑year agreement to become the official sponsor of the 2026 European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. Under the deal Joma will provide a specially designed collection for event staff, judges and volunteers, featuring graphics inspired by Birmingham landmarks such as the Library, Bullring and Alexander Stadium.

The Spanish athletics federation announced a 26‑athlete pre‑selection for the championships, confirming spots for four Valencian competitors: long jumpers Fatima Diame, Eusebio Cáceres and Lester Lescay, and pole vaulter Quique Llopis. A fifth athlete, hammer‑thrower Andrea Sales, may be added pending the final points‑based qualification round. The squad aims to build on recent indoor successes and target medals at the outdoor European meet scheduled for 10–16 August in Birmingham.
