European basketball clubs adjust rosters during preseason

In European basketball, several roster changes are occurring during preseason preparations. Tamir Blatt has been excluded from Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv’s preseason training in Sofia. Despite having recently signed a three-year contract, the 29-year-old guard is reportedly not in coach Dimitris Itoudis’s plans. The club is seeking to loan Blatt to another European team for the 2026-27 season.

Meanwhile, Kosner Baskonia has announced the temporary addition of five players to bolster their preseason squad. Dejan Kravic, Lucas Nguessan, Mehdy Ngouama, Goran Filipovic, and Hugo Alonso will join the team to compensate for key players away on national team duty for the FIBA window. These reinforcements aim to maintain training intensity under coach Paolo Galbiati ahead of official competitions.
