European basketball: Meins Avenida and Bilbao Basket compete

European basketball competition continues with notable performances from Spanish clubs. Meins Avenida secured a 75-64 victory against Ruzomberok in their Eurocup opener. Coach Romo noted the physical intensity of the Slovakian side, stating the team must develop a ‘plan B’ to maintain their fast-paced style when faced with high levels of physical contact and disrupted ball circulation.

In another European matchup, Bilbao Basket faced Slavia Praha at the Miribilla arena. The contest served as a test of evolution for the Basque side against opponents capable of high energy and effective ball movement. The match highlighted the importance of defensive intensity and rebounding, while the local atmosphere at Miribilla played a significant role in managing the game's tension.
