A seasonal travel route for 2026 highlights five major European Christmas markets, connecting Paris, Strasbourg, Bruges, Prague, and Vienna via train and flight. The itinerary follows a west-to-east progression to align with the opening dates of the various festivities.

In Paris, the Tuileries Garden hosts a market and ice rink near the Louvre. Strasbourg features the Christkindelsmärik, noted as one of the oldest markets on the continent. The route continues to the medieval canal setting of Bruges, the Gothic atmosphere of Prague’s Old Town Square, and concludes in Vienna.

Vienna’s Rathausplatz Christkindlmarkt is a major destination, set against the Gothic façade of the City Hall. The event includes the traditional Christkindlmarkt, the Vienna Ice Dream skating area, and the illuminated Weihnachtswelt in Rathauspark, blending medieval customs with modern holiday installations.
