In the transfer market, Real Madrid completed a €140 million purchase of 19‑year‑old Ivorian forward Yan Diomandé and secured a new contract for Vinícius Jr. until 2032.

The 2027 Supercopa de España will be staged in Doha, Qatar from 10‑14 February 2027 after a scheduling clash in Saudi Arabia. The tournament remains under a multi‑year Saudi partnership, generating over $58 million annually, with a portion earmarked for Spanish grassroots football.
