European clubs scout South American football talents
European football clubs are monitoring several South American talents for future transfer windows. Chelsea is reportedly tracking Boca Juniors midfielder Tomás Aranda, with a potential move estimated at approximately $15 million to $20 million in early 2027. Chelsea's strategy may involve purchasing Aranda and subsequently loaning him to Racing Club de Strasbourg in France to facilitate his development, a model previously used for Aaron Anselmino. Other clubs including Inter Milan, Como 1907, Fiorentina, and Aston Villa are also observing the midfielder.
Separately, FC Barcelona is monitoring Athletico Paranaense player Arthur Dias. The club's scouting department, led by João Amaral, has reportedly traveled to Curitiba to observe the player in person. While Barcelona has not yet made a formal offer, Athletico Paranaense previously rejected a €21 million proposal from Tottenham. Dias is currently under contract with the Brazilian club until December 2028.
