European companies like Rheinmetall and Axfood identified as undervalued

Analysis from Morningstar indicates that several major European companies are currently trading at significant discounts relative to their estimated true value. Rheinmetall, the German defense giant, shows the largest discrepancy, trading at approximately 51 percent of its estimated value. Analysts suggest this skepticism stems from short-term uncertainty regarding German procurement plans and project timelines rather than weak fundamentals.

SAP is also identified as undervalued, trading at a 32 percent discount. This decline is attributed to market concerns that generative AI might render enterprise software obsolete, a scenario analysts deem highly unlikely given the company's deeply rooted systems.

In the Swedish market, Axfood has experienced a stock price decline of approximately 28 percent following concerns over slowing growth. However, analysts from Aktiespararna suggest this may be a misjudgment by the market rather than a long-term trend. They note that high comparison figures from previous years and heavy investments in store renovations, particularly within the Willys chain, have temporarily impacted organic growth figures.
