European consumers seek larger smartphone screens for productivity
A recent survey conducted by Censuswide reveals a high demand among European consumers for larger smartphone screens to facilitate complex tasks. Approximately 70% of Europeans seek the flexibility of a compact device that can unfold to provide a larger display for daily activities.
Research indicates that 85% of participants in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain have started a task on a smartphone only to abandon it because they needed a larger screen to complete it. Key pain points include limited screen real estate (cited by 29%) and the inconvenience of constant app-switching (25%).
The most common tasks interrupted by small screens include online shopping and product comparisons (26%), reading or reviewing important documents (26%), and photo or video editing (21%). Samsung has positioned its foldable devices as a solution to these productivity limitations, offering a balance between portability and expanded workspace.
