European educational projects promote ecology and digital skills in Romania

Various educational institutions in Romania are implementing European-funded projects to enhance ecological awareness and digital literacy among students.

In Botoșani, students at the ‘Teofil Vâlcu’ Gymnasium School engaged in interactive ecological activities focused on aquatic ecosystems. Using the ‘School of the Future’ platform and a robot named Vi, students explored aquatic life and created art from natural materials. Similar initiatives took place at the ‘Platon Ciucă’ Gymnasium School in Borolea, where students learned about pollution and the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).

At the Sports Program High School (LPS) in Botoșani, the 10th anniversary of Erasmus Days featured workshops on non-formal learning and digital innovation. Students utilized SmartLab technology to explore digital design and civic engagement.

Additionally, the ‘Sea-tizens’ Erasmus+ project was hosted at the ‘Lazăr Edeleanu’ Technological High School in Năvodari. The event brought together partners from Italy, Poland, and Turkey to focus on preventing marine pollution. Activities included water filtration experiments, plastic waste art workshops, and cultural exchange sessions to promote environmental protection and intercultural cooperation.
