European Energy partners with Capalo AI for Baltic hybrid projects

European Energy has partnered with Capalo AI to provide optimization and energy trading services for two hybrid solar and battery storage projects in the Baltic region.

The partnership involves the Anykščiai Hybrid Park in Lithuania and the Saldus Hybrid Park in Latvia. Together, these projects combine more than 140 MWp of solar capacity with 71 MW / 170 MWh of battery storage.

At the Anykščiai site, a 25 MW / 65 MWh battery system is co-located with an existing 78 MWp solar park that began operations in June 2026. The Saldus Hybrid Park in Latvia pairs a 46 MW / 105 MWh battery with a 65.7 MWp solar park. The integration of solar generation and battery storage is intended to allow the assets to respond more flexibly to electricity market conditions and grid requirements.
