European EV sales show strong performance from MG, BYD, and Tesla in June 2026

European electric vehicle sales data for June 2026 and the first half of the year reveals strong performance from both Chinese manufacturers and established European and American brands.

In the Chinese vehicle segment, the MG ZS led the market for the first six months of 2026 with 65,757 units sold. Other top performers in the first half included the MG HS with 42,703 units and the Jaecoo 7 with 41,631 units. BYD also showed significant presence, with the Seal U recording 47,959 sales during the same period.

In the broader electric vehicle market, the Tesla Model 3 secured the second position for June 2026 with 16,849 units. The Renault 5 E Tech ranked third for the month with 9,057 registrations. For the first half of the year, the Skoda Elroq emerged as a major leader with 57,561 units sold, followed by the Volkswagen ID.3 and the Renault 5 E Tech.
