European Federation of Journalists condemns attacks on Kosovo and Vojvodina reporters, pushes for World Press Photo rev

The European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) issued a statement expressing solidarity with Getoarb Mulići, executive director of the Kosovo Journalists Association, and Dinko Gruhonjić, programme director of the Independent Society of Journalists of Vojvodina, after Serbian tabloids launched an ethnic‑based campaign against them. The EFJ denounced the use of discriminatory language and warned that such rhetoric threatens journalists' safety.

In the same session of its General Assembly in Ankara, the EFJ adopted a resolution urging the World Press Photo organization to withdraw the 1993 award given to Bojan Stojanović for a photograph of the execution of Husein Krša during the Bosnian war. The resolution cites evidence that the image was staged as propaganda and misidentified the victim, calling for the award’s revocation and formal acknowledgment of the error.
