European firms partner to enhance border surveillance and intelligence

European technology companies Rift and ChapsVision have announced a partnership to enhance border surveillance and intelligence capabilities. The collaboration aims to integrate ChapsVision’s communication signal detection and analysis tools into Rift’s long-range drones. This system is designed to pair aerial imagery with data from dark web sources and state databases, providing real-time alerts directly to military command and control systems.

The partnership focuses on building European aerial intelligence capacity and ensuring data sovereignty by processing information exclusively with the consent of authorized government agencies within the EU. This development comes as European governments increase spending on border monitoring and the protection of critical infrastructure.

In a separate development regarding regional security, Czech experts conducted a visit to France to strengthen bilateral cybersecurity cooperation. The delegation met with the Czech National Cyber and Information Security Agency (NUKIB) and its French counterpart, ANSSI, to deepen institutional ties. The visit included tours of France’s cybersecurity ecosystems, such as Campus Cyber and research centers in Rennes, to foster connections between research, defense, and the private sector.
