European firms urged to accelerate cyber response and digital resilience
Anne Hintzell, head of cyber security consulting at CGI, argues that new cyber threats are emerging faster than ever and organisations must react more quickly. She criticises the reliance on superficial risk assessments and calls for decisive investment, prioritisation and practical changes to improve security.
The Finnish Chamber of Commerce’s Digital Committee urges companies to view digital operational resilience as broader than IT security, encompassing IoT, OT, supply‑chain and other digital dependencies. It highlights EU NIS2 requirements, the emerging quantum‑computing risk and the need for senior management to embed resilience into strategy and governance.
Both pieces stress that effective cyber defence now requires faster response, comprehensive risk awareness and leadership commitment across the whole digital ecosystem.
