European football leagues begin new seasons with mixed results

The new seasons of Europe’s five major football leagues have commenced with varying levels of success for defending champions. Hull City sits in third place with seven points.

In LaLiga, Barcelona has maintained a perfect start with four wins from four matches, placing them at the top of the standings. Real Madrid suffered their first setback with a 1-0 loss to Real Betis. In Serie A, Inter Milan has secured three wins in their first three matches, including a 3-2 comeback victory against Napoli.

Other notable performances include Augsburg leading the Bundesliga and Monaco at the top of Ligue 1. Conversely, defending champions Bayern Munich have earned four points from two matches, while Paris Saint-Germain has struggled, collecting only two points from their first three matches.
