European football enters new era with major managerial debuts
The upcoming UEFA Nations League season marks a period of significant managerial changes across major European national teams. Zinedine Zidane makes his debut as the manager of France, succeeding Didier Deschamps, and has introduced several new players to the squad ahead of matches against Turkey, Belgium, and Italy.
Germany also enters a new era with Jurgen Klopp taking the helm following recent World Cup disappointments. Klopp has signaled a major squad overhaul, calling up 44 players for the Nations League fixtures, including a debut match against the Netherlands. The Dutch side is also undergoing a transition, with Xavi Hernandez appointed as their new manager.
Italy has seen the return of Roberto Mancini, who has implemented a record number of selections from players outside of Serie A. Meanwhile, Belgium has appointed Mark van Bommel to replace Rudi García. Other notable debuts and shifts include Portugal's Jorge Jesus and the Netherlands' tactical restructuring under Xavi.
