European Forum Alpbach convenes international leaders in Austria

The 82nd European Forum Alpbach (EFA) has commenced in Tyrol, Austria, under the theme ‘How Europe Wins’. The event brings together high-ranking political figures, business leaders, scientists, and civil society representatives to discuss the future of the continent.

Key participants include Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and various ministers. International attendees include former Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta and Indian diplomat Shashi Tharoor. The forum also features a notable appearance by British Minister for European Relations Hamish Falconer, marking his first trip to an EU member state since taking office.

Discussions are set to focus on political priorities for a resilient Europe, new European security architectures, and economic competitiveness. Participants include representatives from Estonia, the Czech Republic, Albania, Poland, and Ireland, alongside officials from the United Nations.
