European funds target local infrastructure and services in Romania

Various funding mechanisms are being utilized to support local infrastructure and community services across different regions in Romania through European funds.

In one initiative, the GAL/AFIR call for 2026 aims to provide approximately 728,372 euros for local infrastructure and basic services. This program targets community development with a maximum support level of 100,000 euros per project and a 100% support intensity.

In the Țara Făgărașului Microregion, the Integrated Territorial Investments (ITI) mechanism is being highlighted as a vital tool for local administrations. These funds are intended to facilitate investments in infrastructure and the economy to improve the quality of life for residents. Local authorities are encouraged to monitor official channels for upcoming financing opportunities.

Additionally, the ITI Jiu Valley is focused on providing infrastructure and community services specifically aimed at supporting vulnerable children.
