European Heritage Days feature free activities in Lisbon and Amadora
The European Heritage Days will feature a series of free visits and activities across various locations in Portugal throughout September.
In Lisbon, the University of Lisbon Museums will host programming from September 18 to 27 under the theme ‘Reviver, resistir, reinventar’. Activities include a visit-workshop at the Tropical Botanical Garden in Belém, a guided tour of the Lisbon Botanical Garden to explore plant diversity and microclimates, and an herbarium session focused on the importance of plant collections.
In Amadora, initiatives will take place from September 19 to 26. Scheduled events include guided visits to the Moinho do Penedo museum, Casa Roque Gameiro, the Casal da Falagueira museum, and the Carenque Necropolis. Most activities require prior registration.
