European historical theaters host special events in October

On October 25, 2026, historical theaters across Europe will participate in an action day organized by PERSPECTIV, the Society of Historical Theaters of Europe, under the theme “Our Shared Stage.” The event features various performances, tours, and concerts.

In Bad Elster, the König Albert Theater will host the premiere of the musical “Margas Traum,” a production entirely developed by approximately 100 students from Markneukirchen Gymnasium. The students are responsible for the script, composition, arrangement, set design, acting, and choreography.

Other cultural events in the region include a guided tour of the Carl-Maria-von-Weber-Theater in Bernburg and several musical performances in Bad Elster. These include a classical serenade concert by the Chursächsische Streichersolisten at the Königliche Kurhaus and a “Salon Shtetl” evening by the duo Shayna, featuring Jewish songs, couplets, and chansons from the 1920s to the 1940s.
