European hospitals recognized in Newsweek’s best specialized rankings

Several European medical institutions have been recognized in the “World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2027” rankings published by Newsweek in collaboration with Statista. This edition evaluates excellence across 13 medical specialties, including the newly introduced field of nephrology.

In Italy, the Spedali Civili di Brescia has been ranked 136th globally for pneumology and 8th within the country. The ranking is based on professional recommendations, certifications, and accreditations.

In Spain, the Madrid region saw eight hospitals included in the prestigious list. Notable institutions include La Paz, Gregorio Marañón, 12 de Octubre, Clínico San Carlos, Ramón y Cajal, Niño Jesús, Fundación Jiménez Díaz, and Puerta de Hierro. Several of these centers, such as La Paz and 12 de Octubre, showed improvements in multiple clinical categories compared to previous years.
