European Investment Bank funds Drivalia's electric‑vehicle rollout in Italy and Finland

The European Investment Bank (BEI) has signed a €48 million financing agreement with Drivalia, a company of the Crédit Agricole Auto Bank group, to boost electric‑vehicle mobility in Italy and Finland. The funding will allow Drivalia to place about 2,900 battery‑electric cars with businesses and self‑employed professionals through long‑term leasing contracts. BEI estimates the programme will cut greenhouse‑gas emissions by roughly 3,000 tonnes of CO₂ each year. The deal was announced in Rome by BEI Vice‑President Gelsomina Vigliotti and Drivalia CEO Roberto Sportiello. Drivalia operates a fleet of around 216,000 vehicles across 16 European countries, offering short‑, medium‑ and long‑term rentals, monthly subscriptions and electric car‑sharing services.
