European Junior Judo Championships Held in Podgorica

The European Junior Judo Championships took place in Podgorica's Voko Hall from September 3 to 6, featuring athletes aged 15 to 20 from across the continent. Competitions included individual weight‑class contests for both men and women, culminating in a mixed‑team event on the final day.

European Judo Union President Dr. László Tot described the tournament as the “most important step before moving to senior competition,” emphasizing its role in providing experience and career development. Jovica Rečević, President of the Judo Federation of Montenegro, highlighted the cultural and sporting significance for the host nation, encouraging visitors to explore Montenegro’s heritage.
