European leaders meet in Berlin on Ukraine aid and NATO summit preparation

Leaders of France, Germany, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom gathered in Berlin for a four‑plus‑one meeting. They were joined remotely by the NATO secretary‑general. The talks focused on sustaining military and political support for Ukraine and reviewing initiatives announced at the recent G7 summit.

The ministers also prepared for the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara scheduled for 7–8 July, discussing coordination of European security actions and steps to boost the continent’s defence capabilities. The meeting was presented as an effort to strengthen Europe’s role within the Atlantic alliance and to develop joint defence projects.
