MV11 Magura: Ukraine unveils unmanned maritime base for drone interceptors
Ukraine has unveiled the MV11 Magura, a new generation of unmanned maritime platform designed to function as a mobile, crewless naval base. Unlike previous kamikaze-style maritime drones, the MV11 is intended to serve as a launch platform for other unmanned systems.
Developed by UFORCE through its research center in Portugal, the 12-meter-long platform features a payload capacity exceeding 2,200 kilograms and an operational autonomy of up to seven days. It is capable of traveling distances greater than 2,000 nautical miles.
A primary proposed configuration for the MV11 is an anti-aircraft defense system. This setup would allow the platform to carry dozens of interceptor drones, supported by an onboard radar for target detection and tracking, as well as a remote-controlled 12.7 mm machine gun turret.
