European list identifies most haunted locations

A list of Europe's most haunted locations has been released, featuring Bran Castle in Romania as the top site. Located in Transylvania, the castle served as the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula, despite the author never visiting Romania. Paranormal researchers frequently visit the site to investigate claims of spirits linked to medieval crimes.

Other notable locations include Triora, Italy, known for historical witch trials, and Pluckley, England, which holds a Guinness World Record for being the most haunted village in the country. Ochate, Spain, was also highlighted due to reports of paranormal activity and UFO sightings.

In Croatia, the village of Škrinjari, located between Vrbovac and Bjelovar, was ranked among the most eerie locations. Local legends in the area include sightings of a woman without eyes and the spirit of a drowned girl. One popular local story involves two police officers who reportedly woke up with grey hair and no memory after spending a night in a local house.
